Addition and Remodel
Owner: The Episcopal Diocese of Utah
Architect: Bertoldi Architects
Location: Ogden, UT
Size: 7,500 square feet
This beautiful 100 year old church set in the heart of Ogden City was in need of an addition and renovation. The original foundation was made of large rocks held together by mortar which made cutting into the foundation a difficult task. The entire building had to be supported with screw jacks and metal frames as the old foundation was removed and the new one formed. To continue the authenticity and feel of the building, every effort was made to match the brick and other exterior elements of the 100 year old church. Creative and innovative thinking by the architect and Wadman Corporation resulted in the desired outcome of the project and a very pleased owner and community.
