The Santa Clara Library in Southern Utah draws on its magnificent site for its inspiration. A long , tall, concrete wall bisecting the building diagonally, represents the local tectonics. The exterior finish scheme embodies striations of earth color, sandstone mesas, and black lava flows. The library includes a community room, staff facilities, children and young adult areas, and natural reading areas of natural northern daylight and Pineview Valley, Red Mountain, and Snow Canyon. This facility was designed to be LEED 2.0 Certified.
